The Game:

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is an engaging strategy game set in a dark vampire world in turmoil, that combines empire management and turn-based combat with unique card-game elements.

Project Details:

  • Development Time: 2 years.
  • Team Size: 20-25 people (varying)
  • Engine And Tools: Unity, Visual Studio, Plastic SCM. Xbox and Playstation tools and devkits.

Coming from my education where we wrote our own engines, working in Unity was both challenging and a learning experience. I thoroughly enjoyed learning and figuring out how to utilize the engine features to both get the desired results and to set up an environment for our designers and artists to work in.

For the most part, we had an open task board, where we were free to pick any task that needed to be done for the sprint, this meant I had a wide responsibility and got to implement and maintain nearly every system in the game.

I was also the only programmer assigned to porting this game to both Xbox and Playstation.
